Sapphire was born and raised on the Zephyrite airship, learning the nomadic ways of Glint's followers. 

When the Zephyrite ship crashed in the Tyrian desert, he was caught in one of the sails and miraculously spared. Once he heard that one of their own had sabotaged the ship and was now chasing the Master of Peace, Sapphire joined with Commander Talæesyn and Hope's Legacy to track him down. 

After the others put an end to the rogue's search, Sapphire humbly requested to join them to find the Master of Peace and protect him, even knowing that the Aspect Masters would disapprove. 

When they located the Master of Peace, he entrusted Sapphire with the care of Glint's egg with his dying breaths, and instructed him to finish taking it to where he himself could not. However, before Sapphire could take the egg, Caithe appeared, stealing the egg and taking off, leaving them to fight their way back to the surface of the Silverwastes. 

He followed Hope's Legacy deeper into the Maguuma jungle in hopes of finding Caithe and the stolen egg. When he was split off from the Commander at the central camp, he continued through the jungle solo, relying on crystal magic to navigate and protect himself until he reached Auric Basin and the Exalted, where he reunited with Talæesyn and his ragtag squad of fighters who had just safely delivered Glint's egg to the egg chamber. 

Having been tasked with the egg's protection, he insisted on going through the trials and being allowed in the egg chamber, where he stays until Aurene's hatching.
